Has anyone suffered from extreme back acne? Will it completely go away if I see a dermatologist?

I want my back to look clean but my back acne is horrendous. Has anyone ever been fully cured of back acne?Has anyone suffered from extreme back acne? Will it completely go away if I see a dermatologist?
My son has bad back acne on occasion. We found some Phisohex scrub and a long handled back brush for him to use in the shower. As long as he uses it, his back is clear. When he stops using it, the acne comes back after a while.Has anyone suffered from extreme back acne? Will it completely go away if I see a dermatologist?
my son went to a dermatologist and was prescribed Accutane. It did indeed take away his back acne, which was also horrendous, but it also permanently damaged his liver, he can no longer take tylenol, nor can he drink alcohol. Choice is yours.
Expensive detoxifiying sea salts . Take a bath more often at night .

PLUS Wash after using conditioner. get one of the back brushes

Is it possible to be a social worker and a dermatologist ?

I am undecided about what I want to do in life. I know I want to help people. I want to know is it possible to be a social worker and a dermatologist. I know it may be alot of work but can it be doneIs it possible to be a social worker and a dermatologist ?
with dedication, perseverance and lots of hard work you can do just about anything. after the initial qualifications, you may be able to combine both careers!!~!Is it possible to be a social worker and a dermatologist ?
I would imagine that being a dermatologist would require you to be a social worker too. The jobs would almost go hand in hand. To be effective as a dermatologist you would have to have sympathy to your patients and understanding of their issues. I think you can do both.
Of course. But you may not have a life outside your work. Both professions require a major time commitment. You should investigate both careers, and see which one engages you the most. You can't do your best work if your energies are split, and why would you want to do less than your best?
I think it could and I think it would be great because alot of patients who go to a dermitologist have emotional problems due to those conditions and I think they would benifet from it. No one can stop you but you.

What happens at a dermatologist appointment?

I have bad acne and I'm finally going to the dermatologist to hopefully get it under control.

So what happens?

What will they give me?What happens at a dermatologist appointment?
Usually the dermatologist will ask you series of question about your skin type and what type of medication have you tried. They will probably give you stronger pills for it that can control it. Have you tried proactive? They are really great products, I was very happy with the results and I was acne free for years now. Hope this information help you.

  • Do I need a referral to see a dermatologist?

I live in Ontario, and when I look in the phone book, there are no numbers for dermatologists. In fact, the only time I've ever seen one is through a referral from my doctor. Do I have to get a referral to see one or what?Do I need a referral to see a dermatologist?
Yes, you would most likely need to have a referral from your Primary Care Physician to be able to see a dermatologist. I have a friend who is from Canada and she needs to have her Primary Care Physician refer her to different specialists.

If I study biotechnology, will that help with becoming a dermatologist?

I'm still a little confused as to why/how studying biotechnology will help with becoming a dermatologist, if it helps at all. Does it?If I study biotechnology, will that help with becoming a dermatologist?
i think u need to have an mbbs to become oneIf I study biotechnology, will that help with becoming a dermatologist?
It could and would help. But I think that's all more of a doctor's or a forensics's scientist's job. Dermatologist don't really need that stuff but it's a good idea to have just in case.

Can i see a dermatologist without insurance?

How would i be able to see a dermatologist if i have no insurance? is getting a consultation very expensive if i pay out of pocket? Does it depend on what is being looked at? I am a working college student and I am concerned about a mole that has the signs of being precancerous. Any info would help. Can i see a dermatologist without insurance?
You may have to put a percent of the visit down. Depending on the doctor they may work some payment plan out with you. Let them know beforehand. Usually you do not pay the rest of it until after the visit and if you do not have it then you just do not have it. They will just have to bill you.Can i see a dermatologist without insurance?
Yea, you're going to have to pay. An appointment if probably a flat rate, but if it is serious then sh it can get expensive really fast. Your campus should have a health services department, but they might not have a dermatologist. Not having insurance sucks, but a mole is probably something that wont disqualify you as a preexisting condition.
Have you gone to your campus health center? They would be able to look at the mole and advise you further. Expensive or not, you may have to have it check out anyway.
If you are going to college I would suggest getting health insurance through the university if they have it. Then you can go see a dermatologist.

University health insurance is not that exspensive
    a consoltation can be free.

Go to your schools doctor and get them to biopsy it.

Should cost about 80 to 180 bucks.

Its worth the releif of knowing.
Yes u can.I had a mole just removed and it cost 150 for the dr visit and 250 for them to send it to be tested for cancer.
    sure you can

im 12 and i just went to a dermantoligist this year and i no that we dont have ensurance and we got in just fine

    nikki
you can see any doctor without insurance, you just have to pay for it (assuming your in the US).
Just call any office and ask them how much it costs for a consultation.
of causel. and it is not that expansive. Treatment is another story.
Of course you can, but its not going to be cheap!
aside from paying for it yourself, perhaps your citys social services can assist you with medical coverage
