Should i go to the allergist or dermatologist for a skin rash?

i have had a rash almost every day, that occurs on different places all over my body and itches like crazy! my scalp even itches! It has been going on for about 7 months now! I also got a welt on my back tonight from itching!

I think you should firstly go to an allergist who would perform a skin test to see what you are allergic to as this sounds like you are allergic to something you come into contact everyday.

I'd recommend a dermatologist first to rule out any serious conditions which the allergist may not recognize.

Dermatologist, they'll run a scratch test on you and see if it really is an allergy, it sounds like eczema to me.
It sounds like exzema to me. I have had it all my life. It helps to have a fan and humidifier in your room. Don't wear polyester either only cotton fabrics! Watch what kind of detergent you are using on clothes use non scented. Watch what lotions you are using dont use scented same thing with perfume! Being in cold areas helps. If your hands itch stick them in the freezer for a little bit! Good luck!
