Is it normal to feel embarrassed when going to see a dermatologist about acne?

idk, im just really selfconsious about my skin...i dont like people looking at it...oh well...i just wanted to know if other people felt the same way.

also. what are some of the best acne prescription medications?

AND ho can a dermatologist tell which medication is right for YOUR skin?Is it normal to feel embarrassed when going to see a dermatologist about acne?
Yes I would feel embarrassed too, its only natural. But you have to understand Dermatologists see all kinds of different problems everyday. and I'm sure some are wayyyy worse than acne. I'm sure they understand, after all that's why they are in that field, to help people with their problems. Just feel comfortable in your skin.Is it normal to feel embarrassed when going to see a dermatologist about acne?
well you shouldnt feel nervous since you'll probably see some other ppl with the same problem i wasnt nervous at all.Well for medication they might give pills but i never took them since i heard they are bad so instead she gave me a cream called benzaclin that i use daily and at night i use retin a micro.My face cleard up really well i about 2 months it will get worse b4 it gets better just stick to what they give you and good luck
Don't worry, these people won't be surprised or anything that's their job to look at acne- infested skin. Theres nothing to be embarrassed of and just think ';it'll be over soon, then I'll have my whatever';
You might feel embarrassed because you're there for them to point out your flaws.

They know because they test different things about your skin. Like if it's oily or dry.
yeah i hate people like analizing my face...i dont know anyone who does

personally i tried proactive and acne free but what really works the best on my skin is clearasil ultra =]
Yes i also feel like you and yes a dermatologist will tell you a good way to solve acne problems ;)
