I am interested in being a dermatologist but I'm not sure about what to major in. I'm home schooled so I don't have a counselor to help me. Since a dermatologist is a type of doctor, you'll want to pick a major that will get you in to medical school. Most universities have a pre-med ';track,'; which lists the coursework you will need to need to take in order to get in/be successful at medical school. In theory you can pick any major, but all of my friends in medical school were either biology or chemistry majors.
