You first need to go to medical school in order to be a dermatologist. There is no specific major. You just have to take the courses needed to get into medical school. Most medical schools require 1 year of biology w/labs, 2 years of chemistry w/labs, and 1 year of Physics. You also have to take the MCAT. You should see an adviser about your interest in going to medical school. As for the major, you can major in anything you want as long as you take the required courses. The majority of premed students, however, major in a science field since they take the required courses as part of their majors. But again, medical schools will take just about any major if you successfully complete the required courses. What would i have to major in to become a dermatologist?
PreMed, Biology, Chemistry, something science related for your undergrad so you can get the prereqs out of the way for Medical School. You will need anatomy, physics, etc... as well.
