-What kind of schools are good?

-Are there special fields you need to study?

What else should i know about this? What kind of schooling do you need to be a dermatologist?
To become a dermatologist, a medical school graduate must complete four years of training in a dermatology residency program, including one year of general clinical training and three years of dermatology education. To achieve your medical degree, you must possess abilities and skills, which are observational, communicational, motor, intellectual/conceptual, and behavioral/social. Students are judged on their scholastic accomplishments, and their physical and emotional capacities to meet all full requirements. The traditional three-year residency program, provides residents with a vigorous, challenging, and multi- faceted experience. You first must take Component I, which provides students with basic knowledge of biochemical sciences and clinical skills. To begin, the students work with simulated patients, learning to conduct medical interviews and physical examinations. The instruction on this part of the course is broad, and students receive help from faculty, and feedback from patients. First year students also can participate in hands-on lab and small-group learning activities. Next, Component II is taken, which is a series of disease and organ-system sequences, in preparation for the third and fourth years. This is divided into individual sequences that are arranged in an organ system approach. Teachers from several different departments teach these sequences in a multidisciplinary way. This introduces the essentials of diagnosis and clinical management. In addition to working with simulated patients, second year, students perform patient histories and physical exams in a hospital atmosphere. After completing the second year courses, the students are required to pass the USMLE Step 1 exam to advance into the clinical years. Third year students are required to complete a core of required clerkships. The students should now have a good understanding of medicine, needing only to refine their skills the next year. The students now must pass the USMLE Step 2 exam, as a graduation requirement. Fourth year gives the students a lot of flexibility in designing their schedule, and are encouraged to explore deeper into areas of interest, in which there has been little exposure
