What kind of education do I need to become a dermatologist?

I'm a high school student aspiring to become a dermatologist. What kind of education do I need? What kind of education do I need to become a dermatologist?
You'll first need to become an MD or DO and then complete your residency in Dermatology. According to a report by the Washington-based Association of American Medical Colleges and the National Resident Matching Program, only 61 percent of seniors at American medical schools whose first choice was dermatology received a residency in that field last year. Compare that figure with 98 percent for those seeking internal medicine and 99 percent for family medicine. What kind of education do I need to become a dermatologist?
Since dermatology is a branch of medicine, you'd need undergrad plus med school, plus 1 yr internship, plus 3 yr dermatology residency. If you want to do surgical dermatology, you can add a year or two for a surgical fellowship.

So you're looking at the same amount of education that it would take to become a pediatrician or internist.
