im 15 and I have a few skin problems, but my mom hates the idea of taking me to the doctor. she just says it'll go away by itself. What do i say so that she'll take me to the derm?How can I convince my mom to take me to a dermatologist?
I'm sure that a main reason why your mom doesn't want to take you to a specialist is a financial one. So, after all your pleading and telling her how much you want/need to go, and your self esteem, etc etc, you might want to know exactly how much it's going to cost the family budget to have you see the doctor. It may be that you'll agree to work off a percentage of the copay, and at that point, she'll see that it's important to you to go. Plus, it might be just the thing to help out with the family budget. And that it would make you feel more confident in yourself if she takes you.
