How much is a visit to the Dermatologist without health insurance?

I've tried everything and I can't get rid of my acne. I don't have health insurance because I've turned 19 and I only have a part-time job and am a part-time student. How much would it cost to go to a dermatologist and get a prescription? How much is a visit to the Dermatologist without health insurance?
The dermatologist visit is usually around 60-100 dollars. A general practitioner can also prescribe acne medication, so if you have a health clinic on campus check out that option. If you dont have prescription insurance either, make sure that you ask for them to prescribe a medication that has a generic available. Brand name creams can easily be over $100 and only last about a month. A good one to ask for is Retin-A, its generic is Tretinoin. How much is a visit to the Dermatologist without health insurance?
Acne drug like Accutane cost around $400 and a visit is around $50. Get yourself health insurance before anything because you're going to end up wasting a lot of money.
that depends on where youre going. it can vary from dermatologist to dermatologist
Depends on what state...I think here it like 65 for an office visit...just call and they will let you know.
I think the visit would be like 50 or 60 dollars, but the medication would be a lot more.
Every docotor charges different fees for different things. I would say the average for an office visit is between $100 to $200 because a dermatologist is a specialty doctor. Getting a prescription for acne or any presciption for that matter can be very expensive. That range really varies, but make sure you tell the derm doc that you don't have any insurance and ask for samples ( if they have any). If not then make sure she writes for the generic to be filled (not brand name prescription but the equivalent). Also sometimes they give you a break on the price of the office visit b/c of no insurance.

Just call up a few different places and see what kind of prices you get.
That would be a better question to call local dermatologists and ask. Without knowing where you are or what doctors are in your area, it's impossible to say.

Whether any Dermatologists in your area have any sliding fee scales, or whether you live in downtown Beverly Hills could make the difference between $20 and $2,000.
free if you live in the uk
