What's the difference between a Dermatologist and an Aesthetician?

Are they just quite the same?

What are their advantages and disadvantages from each other?

Please explain further more about them.

Thank you!

Have a wonderful day! What's the difference between a Dermatologist and an Aesthetician?
I'm an esthetician so here is your answer:

ESTHETICIANS (sometimes spelled AESTHETICIANS) are licensed Skin Care Specialists who treat the facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance. Estheticians work to achieve their customers鈥?beautifying goals through the following tasks:

Analyze customer鈥檚 skin, discuss treatments and products with clients.

Perform facials to cleanse pores and improve skin tone.

Apply chemical peels to reduce fine lines and age spots.

Perform simple extractions to remove blackheads.

Remove unwanted facial hair using depilatory wax.

Tint eyebrows.

Select and apply cosmetic products such as creams, masks.

A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in treating conditions that affect the skin. After earning a medical degree and completing an internship, a dermatologist receives three more years of specialty medical training, becoming an expert dedicated to skin. Many dermatologists have general practices and see patients with all types of skin concerns. What's the difference between a Dermatologist and an Aesthetician?
Thats is why we have ';Google';. You will get definitiona like these everywhere. Let me answer your question:

Dermatologist: A doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin problems..doctor who specializes in the physiology and pathology of the skin or A physician who specializes in diseases of the skin.

Aesthetician: a worker skilled in giving beauty treatments (manicures and facials etc...a philosopher who specializes in the nature of beauty...A licensed skin care professional using treatments for beauty and health.... One skilled in giving facials, manicures, pedicures, and other beauty treatments.

These two terms are related. Here is my simple explanation on how I understand them:

A Dermatologist is a medical doctor who has completed a residency in Dermatology, the diagnosis and treatment of skin abnormalities and diseases. A Dermatologist is trained to diagnose and treat all diseases and disorders that affect the skin, the body's largest organ. He/She has a thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals and has the authority to write prescriptions; he/she is also qualified to surgically remove skin lesions. An Esthetician is not a doctor but has received one to two years of specialized training in skin care products and procedures such as facials, exfoliating treatments, lymph drainage, and body treatments. She/he is also trained in the proper use of galvanic and high frequency machines that help the skin to reach optimal condition. Estheticians can remove unwanted hair, apply makeup, and recommend a good home care regimen for their clients' particular skin types. Estheticians often work in Dermatologists' and Cosmetic Surgeons' offices or in medi-spas under the direction of a physician.
